Originally written for DustCar race 37. Pop punk holidays? I feel called out.
I wanted to challenge myself to put something together this week and then follow through on polishing before Christmas. It has definitely been rewarding and helped me improve on both songwriting and producing!
lyrics
Hearth’s Warming - it’s time for cheer, it
only comes one time a year, a
Time of greed filled to excess
And I want commercial success, So
I’ll release a festive song
Repetitive and not that long
Simple to catch onto quick
So ponies give me all their bits
Make a list of all the things
Pones expect the season brings
Add some bells and let ‘em ring
Are you ready?
Welcome to the
Festive, loving, cold-hoof gloving,
Rainbow Dashing, cheap doll slashing,
Blitzing, Prancing, Reindeer dancing
Pudding-baking monster making,
Fire stoking, Thought provoking,
Present bearing, sweater wearing
Season time to make your way to
Celebrate our Pony Holiday
Festive music will always sell
Cuz brainless ponies think it's swell
But adding a little optimism
Helps me win with capitalism
So happy faces, bright and warming
Open presents on Hearth’s morning
Buy the songs you love to hear
It only comes once a year
Make a list of all the things
Pones expect the season brings
Add some bells and let ‘em ring
Are you ready?
Welcome to the
Welcome to the
Carols sounding, nation founding
Family seeing, never being
Chill, relaxing - always taxing
Time for giving and forgiving
Tight-bond forming, Hearth is Warming
Boulder Shoving, Ever loving
Season time to make your way to
Celebrate our Pony Holiday

Always shopping, never stopping
